Subject: Flex in baidarka: How much?
How much does an aluminum tubed baidarka flex? For example,
when you suspend the baidarka from both end on saw horses
(or whatever), how much will the bottom move up and down if
you were to hold both ends steady and put reasonable (50#)
pressure in the cockpit, then the same pressure, pushing up?
I'm getting what I estimate to be about 3 inches of
flex...this seems like a lot to me, but I'd appreciate what
others have found...TLC
