Being Country wise the closest I have seen on this newsgroup, though not on Vancouver Island (still dreaming) and being landlocked, I submit that I am building a double based on George Dyson's design and am reverting back to a woodframe from the aluminum tubing that is the basis for George's design. I have the jig in place and am fine tuning the three single 5.6 m. Baidarkas that I completed last year before beginning the double. I am going out to Sorrento, B.C. the first two weeks of August to give the singles a real test on the Shuswap (sp.?).
