Wes, put the vertical section of the bow assembly in a vice,
and started lashing it down from the stern forward... I
made no attempt to use tie-downs, and in fact, never used
one in making the whole kayak... as the lashing proceeds, it
pulls the two pieces together as tight as you need... TLC
