Subject: Umiak info request
Hello,
I have been considering building a currach, a skin-boat of Irish orign. I
am also drawn to aleut-style kayaks, a umiak seems like another choice. Does
anyone have an idea where I can get lines and some info on how to get
started building a umiak ? All these boats are probably are put together
mainly by eye but, I need to learn about the basic concepts that govern
their construction.
