As wrote before, take a look at International (Courtald coatings) paint
for inflatables I have seen

Take a look at "Baidraka" the book wroten by dyson and he explains much
on the fabric and how to sow cut and shrink it. Never used but he sells
also lighter weights (14 oz ??)
Nylon shrinks with heat AND with water. Be aware of how you orient the
cloth because it can shrink up to 10% .

A light coat of epoxy only preserves the lashings but flexibility should
not be affected that much. I speak out of the experience of pre-coating
plywood sides of two kayaks, not of coating lashings though...
Ho many dutch (origin) are interested in kayaking !!!
