I had sent this to Russell a while back. I have been very happy with the
seat back and in combination with the seat I have made very comfortable
for long stretches of time.

Back rest.

I tood 1/4" plywood cut about 8"x10" and rounded the edges.
Heated it up in water and bent it to fit my back. Glued 1/2" foam front
and back and covered it with nylon. I had drilled 1/4" holes in the
plywood before covering it and put 1/8" bungie cord through the holes
and out the back. The holes were about 3" apart. I then drilled 1/4"
holes 3" apart through the deck beam holding the cockpit up. Inserted
the bungie cords and tied them.

The back stays put in a vertical position and is very comfortable. I
have installed this on all my boats.
