Has anyone (God forbid I suggest this...) ever pulled a mold off of a skin
boat and made fiberglass bidarkas with the same lines? The weight
distribution could probably be adjusted comparably.

Sea Kayaker used to perform tank tests; do they still?

just idle curiousity... sounds like an elaborate and expensive experiment.
