Thanks to all for the medical advice. I actually tore a few things in my
wrist during a house construction project - not while kayaking or using a
mouse. Robbie does bring up a good point about warming up and stretching.
Also, while I tend to shy away from medications, I now consider Ibupropen
and ice or cold water to be a wonder treatment for warding off the effects
of short term over-use events. You don't want to use the stuff for long
periods of time or take it on an empty stomach - but for a couple of days
twice the non-prescription pain dose three times a day works great (this is
per my M.D. friends). Sorry to digress.
