I finally got tired of dropping my sissors, losing my lighters, and
having the thread always somewhere just out of reach. I made a small tool
pouch out of some scrap skin. It consists of a main pouch, about 4 inches
wide, and and about 5 inches high. The back panel of the pouch is higher
about 10 inches, slotted so it can hang on a belt, and stiffend with a scrap
of leather so it won't bunch up.

I divided the pouch with somes vertical lines of stitching, and
sissors, a pencil and a small sheath knife go in there. On the outside
front of the pouch I added several smaller pockets, one for a bobbin of
thread, another for a Bic lighter, an essential tool if you lash or sew
with synthetics. A loose flap, leather or heavy cloth, to hold a needle or
two finishes it off, altho the possibilities for customization are endless.
