Dan - Any experience with 2024 Alclad? I've got a project and can't seem
to find 6061 sheet in lengths longer than 12'. Do you suppose the cladding
would make that much difference? I have heard a theory that protective
coatings like galvanizing and zinc chromate give a cathodic corrosion
protection for an eighth inch or so onto adjacent bare metal, protecting
against scratches and such. Does Alclad work like this?
