Thanks to all of you who took the time to reply to my inquiry about
polypropylene as a skin material. Someone mentioned it is "too loose a
weave".....I think you're referring to the polypropylene material sold
from Defender Industries, for epoxy construction. As I understand it,
there are MANY weaves/weights of polypropylene material, just as there
are many weaves/weights of cotton, nylon etc. The "Materials Handbook"
mentions that polypropylene is used as an industrial filter material,
similar to the nylon from Dyson....I would assume such filter fabric
would be much closer weave, heavier and tougher, etc. The search
continues.....
