The translation is good. There is some coverage in Zimmerly's "QAYAQ" of a one
and a three seat Koniag (equivelent to Kodiak) kayak, but just some brief text and
a photo of what is given to be a pair of Chugach three seaters (one stripped frame
and one covered). There are better photos and discussion of Chugach frames in
Dyson's "Baidarka". Since Zimmerly's book is about to be reprinted, and is
possibly the only source of drawn plans, it would be the best reference for
technical a technical drawing on the Kodiak type. Questions like this make me
wish I'd joined the Baidarka Historical Society already. - Ranald
