I'm new to the list, been lurking thru the archives for a few weeks
now.
Has anyone seen the new folbot single?(kodiak?) I think it's 15 ft
boat with a 28" beam.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want/need in a 1st boat. As an
apartment dweller a folder would make life easier. But, if a non
folder fits my needs I can live with either hanging it out on my deck
or storing it at friends.
The idea of building interests me; I like the idea of a winter
project since leg arthritis may limit my ski season. I've read
Dyson's book as well as most of the Woodenboat & Sea Kayak articles on
kayaks.
My needs(at least what I think i want) are mostly for day paddling as
probably for a few overnights. Most of my paddling will be in the
Boston & Cape Cod area, with trips to the Maine coast as well.
I've seen a website with a review of a Betsie Bay Greenland boat kit,
anyone have any experience with it?
regards,
Chris
