I dunno, this starts to sound like Dacron sailcloth, although I know
nothing about the heat shrink properties of such.

Apparently all Dacron will heat shrink. The problem is once you go past a
certain temperature it relaxes again and never can be shunk. Aircraft
Spruce has a lot of info online - or did - about this process and how to
calibrate an iron, etc.

I have some salvage sailcloth. Perhaps I should experiment. Another item
for the endless list.
