It's hard to say if Fireline absorbs H2O or not. I cut a piece and
submerged it and it has a tendency to float to the top. It also seemed
to dry very fast. All this is conjecture because this stuff is so fine.
It may be trapped air in the weave. Berkley is not saying what the fiber
is that makes up Fireline only that it is "microDyneema" pretty nebulous
sounding. The Spiderwire is made of Spectra which is a fiber developed
by Allied Signals for the military it is not Kevlar. I do know that
Spectra is much more flexable than Kevlar.

How is the water resistance of the spectra? I'm pretty sure kevlar fiber
will absorb water.
