RE: Leashes. A couple of years ago, I
purchased a 100' reel if 1/8" bungee. It's
been handy for a lot of things. I have a short
leash around my wrist to the paddle. I also
leash me to the boat if the wind/wave
combination gets the pucker factor too high.
My paddle float and bilge pump are leashed
on too. I'll bet I could get my boat up to
planing speed if I wound up all those darned
things at the same time.
Second item: I have a friend here in Okemos
MI whose name is Stefano Lassini. Not
germane to paddles, but a bit unique. He's
still working to get his American
citizenship. He doesn't paddle, but he does
dive and fly.
