It all depends on the conditions in which one is paddling.

If you are not wearing a wet or dry suit, and the water is calm and warm,
one of those wedge trays that they use in hospitals to relieve the
patients who can not get out of bed would work fine; just sit on it and
then put the whole thing in a plastic bag.

If one has a wet or dry suit, and is paddling in conditions that
require the paddler to brace frequently and control the kayak, then
there is only one viable solution, which is what some sailplane pilots
do; use adult diapers inside your suit and clean up when you get to shore.

In between these two extreme situations there are endless posibilities,
but try to aim to a method by which you do not leave anything behind, as
any residue you leave out in the wild has an ecological impact. One example
of that are animals abandoning their homes after detecting a foreign odor
nearby.

The best idea I have heard about containers for human residue are PVC
pipes with end lids. You can either toss them with the public garbage
or clean and reuse them when you get back to your residence.

I would prefer to transfer this topic to the paddlewise mailing list,
as it is not specific to skin boats.
