I understand that the Aleut speak a related but different language from the Inuit, so differences in nomenclature should be expected. According to F. Spencer Chapman in _Watkin's Last Voyage_, there were differences in nomenclature even between West Greenland and East Greenland, partly as a result of local taboos. Also, the East Greenlanders thought the West Greenlanders had an accent, and probably vice-versa.
