Subject: [baidarka] paddling
Reading all of the various views on paddling is very interesting. When ever
I have diliberatly noticed my own paddling I stop myself from analizing and
go back to whatever I was doing before. My Dad gave me a viewpoint when I
was a small child and we were practicing archery. "Just keep going and don't
think. Your body will adjust to the perfect form all by itself. The mind is
too smart, but the natural aim of the body knows just what to do. Keep
practicing and perfection will come by itself." When I want to go fast I go
fast. When I want to daydream while going somewhere I cruise.
What is my cadence? what is my depth of stroke? What is my noise? What is my
effieciency? Am I scientific? I don't care! I have have experts who take
care of those things for me. They are the "marvels" of the human body. I
trust them.
