Go for a name brand. I used West epoxy on a woodstrip cradle
dinghy that came out nice. System 3 and MAS are also well
respected. I'm not sure you need to epoxy the lashings. If
you do the knots right :-) and burn the ends they shouldn't
come free.

I moved it around. After doing the ribs it took me just a
half hour to do the coaming. How far the bender moves depends
on the shape you are bending. I have an egg shaped cockpit
so the curve varies.
But then you are after perfection. My boat is not perfect.
