If you need to increase viscosity, you add filler (microballoons,
cab-o-sil, wood flour or plain old talcum powder.

To get a good bond to aluminum you use an etching agent.

They have a detailed explanation of how to use their products and on epoxy
use in general, as does System Three (but I don't have them bookmarked, so
you gotta find them yourself.. :-)

The eposy will coat the weave of the line, but probably not structurally
bond, since it can't soak into it. This won't matter, it will still be
VERY strong with the amount that will coat your line.

Thicken with whatever you use until you have a peanut butter-like
consistency (smooth, not crunchy). Then get a good layer pushed down into
the weave/grain of the line. Using a tongue depressor should make this
doable.
