Just a note to all of you who might be in Newfoundland next month:
The West Coast Kayak Club is having a Sea Kayak Symposium June 4th - 7th in
Corner Brook. The stress will be on skills development with lectures,
pool, and open water sessions. Teaching will be per the BCU Progressive
Coaching scheme and will be facilitated by the presence of BCU notables
Nigel Dennis, John Ramwell, and Keith Maslen.

A variety of hand crafted kayaks will be in attendance, but I don't know of
a baidarka yet!
