David,

I have not used the product other than doing large test patches. Due to
the cold weather when I attempted to do my test patches I gained
different
results. I have tried both the water catalyzed and the Zylene carrier on

different pieces. The cloth weave was 26 OZ ballistic nylon and I have
no
intentions of using such, but it was all that I had at the time. I
purpose to
use 15 oz ballistic nylon. I donot know how well the tufflex will
penetrate
the fabric's weave but I expect double. Bill Low is the most
knowledgeable
user of AU that I know of, other than Cory Freeman @ Spirit Line kayaks.

The Tufflex product strikes me as one that might well have outstanding
potential. I am still looking into it's use and will do another test
patch before
making the final decision. Hypalon and Neoprene and a hypalon finish
coat
is for now my intended purpose because it is tried, proven and tested.
If
tufflex (which I think still offers a dynamite possibility)proves
successful
then I may well prefer the simplier and friendlier direction. When you
get the brochure you will see why it appears so promising. The jury
is still out on the matter at least for me.

Do let me know if you decide. I would like to compare results since we
have
four Dyson Baidarka to coat.

All the best,

Philip Wylie
