Well, here's my first reply to stuff on this listserve.

Try a book by George Putz, (Canvas boat building or something like that,
it's quite recent)

I'm at the "ready to skin" stage, and it's been great fun so far. 35 hours
and about $35 dollars. The skin and coating come to whatever your heart
desires.
