If you own a Klepper double you have a good idea of what I am trying to
avoid:
bulky heavy and complex.
My assembly starts from fewer parts that have the level of complexity of
a dome tent as for the assembly process ( I lack other terms of
comparison).
Packed it's one back pack with two lateral tubes 5 inches wide.

I would take this occasion to start a new thread if possible:

How rigid should a skin-on frame be??

Quotations from this newsgroup state that flexibility is a must for
seaworthiness, recommending not to epoxy lashings not to affect
negatively this feature.

Others state that a high degree of stiffness is highly recommendable
even before the skin is on.

I would appreciate some debate with contributions from people who have
had the opportunity of comparing (paddling) structure stiffness of
foldable versus non foldable skin-on frame kayaks and or fewer
chines/frames, more chines/frames.

In the meanwhile, having described keel + 2 chines and 2 frames as
"overboiled hot-dog" stiffness, I'll be working on the other frames so
to give the picture of what the pre-skinned rigidity of my foldable is
with all the six chines and ridges installed and the 6 frames + bow and
stern tightly laced.

I hope not to come up with "overboiled spaghetti" or I'll have to go
paddling in the Red S...auce.

(forgive me for this one)
