I don't know what strength is needed in this application, but as I
pointed out to Bill in a private message, kite-flying suppliers will
have a wide range of Kevlar line. Gone With the Wind, for example (see
http://www.gwtw-kites.com) sells Kevlar line up to 750lb. This is
probably stronger than you'll encounter in fishing applications.
