Jim Heter continues work on his folding kayak plans. His latest addition
is a summary of his design experiences:

In fact, it would be nice to see this kind of background info on some of
the other designs around.
He's also updated and clarified the plans themselves. It's still not
complete because he's yet to explain the skin construction. However the
frame plans are just about done.
I hope to begin building one in a few weeks, and I'll update everyone on
the progress. Now to try and find out what the heck "Baltic Birch
plywood" is...
