Subject: baidarka "Pakboats" Folding Canoe

The January 15th issue of MESSING ABOUT IN BOATS has an article on
something called a "pakboat". It's a commercial folding canoe, using
aluminum alloy tubes and a "heavy duty synthetic canvas coated with a
new abrasion-resistant PVC".

They mention the advantage of hull-flexibility and one model can even be
assembled in "wide" or "narrow" configurations, depending upon water
conditions!

I was going to scan in the article, but their web site has the same
material. It's at:

http://www.pakboats.com

They have a cute small-size model for $799, the next model up is $1455.

Note: This is NOT to be confused with the "pakYAK" folding kayak.
