>plywood" is...

Hello Charles,

for me living on the edge of the Baltic Sea its a must to answer here. My
birch-plywood is multiplexed, that means it has 6 layers on 3mm. 4 in one and 2
in the rectangular direction. 5mm has 10 layers (6 + 4). The outermost and the
to layers in the middle have the same grain direction. It is waterproof glued
and the type I describe here is known as "aircraft plywood" in Germany. Comes in
dimension 1.5m to 1.5m and thicknesses I know of are 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2, 3 and
5mm

The only retailer I know, who imports this great variety directly from Finnland
to Germany is

Adolf Fette
Porgesring 12a
Hamburg

There are weaker types of birch-plywood available, with less layers per mm but
I prefered building my boomerangs out of the strong type. Maybe the
boomerang-builders in the new world can give you a good address to get this
stuff from. Another source might be traditional aircraft-shops.
