Just been steam bending in the basement. Came up with a design for a
simple adjustable jig for bending oak ribs which I hope will ensure
better consistency and a more easily faired hull. I will definitely use
this next time. I'll be putting a web page together soon which will
cover my experience using Wolfgang Brinck's book, pointers for those on
their first attempt, and what I'd do differently next time.
BTW, Anybody ever use shims between rib and stringer for better fairing
on those ribs which won't quite comply with the program?
