Easy Rider fiberglass kayaks can be converted to catamarans. You might
take a look at their ads to see how they do it. They usually advertise
on the inside front cover of Sea Kayaker.

Subject: baidarka Kayakcat?

Hello,

I'm wondering if with all the quixotic(sp) minds it seems that
attend here, someone might have leads/ideas/observations on a
combination kayak catamaran.? I've been involved with catamarans
(hobies, b-lions , tornadoes, wharram etc) and now interested in
kayaks

I've heard of tryak but more interested in catamaran configuration.
Essentially youd have two kyaks that could be used seperatly or
joined . Enginnering the ama crossmembers would be tricky i suppose.
Wharram has used flexible lashings might be a solution.
