I talked to the sales manager today. He gave me the name of a small boat
shop in Vancouver that was using ballistic nylon (Brewery Creek Small
Boats msg (604) 667-5671), as he did not stock "kayak" materials.
However, he said that he could sell polyester reinforced vinyl that is
used for industrial tents and awnings. It comes in a variety of colours.
He will send samples. They are about 10" x 8". He said cut a 3" slash in
the material and try it tear it apart -- its almost impossible.

It is manufactured in Ontario.

14 oz 60" wide @ $11 to $12 per yard Can
18 oz 60" wide @ ~$20 per yard Can
8 oz can vinyl glue $10 Can
