Well, I stand corrected... or is it sit? Double-paddle canoe, not
something I had seen. Interesting!

the first 3 years in the San Juans I paddled a 10 1/2 foot wee lassie double
paddle canoe exclusively. Also used it in maine, and parts of LIS. A good
double paddle canoe can take an incredible amount of weather, that wee lass
outperformed 90 % of the kayaks it ran across (except for speed naturally),
and we're not just talking flat water conditions. However floation would be
a really good idea - other wise in cold water, if you flip, you die.

biggest problem was the looks of other paddlers (kayak mounted of course)
who had that "you're not supposed to be out here" look on their faces.

The way I look at it, all boats are the same - some are just different than
others.
