Artificial sinew can be useful stuff--and strong. Just beware that it's
stretch potential is about 25-30% where as natural fibers such as linen,
hemp, and jute cordage average less than 2%. I use waxed linen (flax),
which is a traditional material for bowstrings--strong and almost no
stretch. Let me know if you'd like more info. about it.
