Corey found Tashiro when he still had the shop out on 4th South. I stopped
by there a couple months ago and it was closed, a sign saying to check him
on the web. Haven't done that (and need to)... but you might try. He
imports directly, is a master carpenter himself, and always treats you to
the funniest and most instructive lectures on how to hold the saw.

I have all my power tools, of course, but there is something special about a
tool that asks you to stop and admire it before going to work. I have to
watch the shape of my hand and wrist to cut cleanly, have to get the other
thoughts to quiet down a bit, have to guide my cuts by the reflection of the
wood on the blade. I don't get that same sense of wholeness from the power
switch on my Dewalt stuff.
