At this past summer's Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium, Mark addressed a
question about this and suggested the leather is probably like uncoated
neoprene
in stiffness (or flexibility - your choice). He feels that modern skins do
not allow
the frames to flex the way the original craft did.
