I had one boat do that to me. I tried clamping the
whole thing to the sawhorses while I put in ribs,
hoping that the ribs would hold the gunwales in place,
but when I took the clamps off, it was back to
twisted.

But the boat paddles ok. Keep in mind that even with
a slightly warped deck, you can still have a true
hull. As long as you have a straight keelson and more
or less symmetrical ribs, your boat will paddle ok.
