1 - Lorenz Mayr, one of the last traditional folding boat gurus in Germany,
for his next boat is enthusiastically pondering the use of the lightest
weight inflatible boat material and whatever substance the boat manufacturer
happens to use to glue it (most weld wherever possible, of course, but there
is always some critical area that relies on glue).
2 - When patching my Pouch commercial folding boat (it has a HEAVY duty PVC
skin), I have had excellent results with regular two component glue systems
that are normally used to connect hard PVC plumbing.
