Dana,

To clear up the confusion (or add to it), the University of Alaska suggested
that the 3rd edition would be better spelled <QAYAQ> to more closely follow
Alaskan terminology. In the 1st edition, I used the spelling of the title
<QAJAQ> because the Canadian Inuit spell it that way (sometimes). It makes
sense to use the Alaskan spelling in a book mainly about Alaskan kayak
types.
