Mike,
Do you know if camping reservations are necessary and if people could
double up at the campsites? The campground fills up real fast this time
of year. Is there a group campsite we could reserve for kayakers? I
personally would not need much space for a small tent, sharing with other
kayaker especially builders would be more fun anyway.
Any suggestions?

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows about the WEST COAST WOODEN KAYAK
RENDEZVOUS. It will be held at Fort Warden in Port Townsend, WA on August
19th and 20th.
I will be giving a demo on building a Putz style skin-on-frame kayak on
Saturday and Chris Cunningham will be giving a greenland style rolling
demonstration on Sunday. There are also paddling workshops, other demos,
photo sessions, and a group paddle.
Be sure to bring your kayaks if you can. It is great chance to check out
other kayaks, meet fellow builders, and learn moreabout building and
paddling techniques. Information about the event is on the Redfish Kayak

I am hoping to have a strong contingent of skin kayaks this year. My first
Putz Walrus will be there, and I am hoping to have my long skinny Putz
Walrus 'ready' to be paddled that weekend.
