Hi Len,
Ralph Hoehn here (off-list). Either I missed something or no one else picked
it up: What are you referring to as a "fine teflon screen" being used as a
skin on your boat? How do you get paint to stick to it when even I can't get
scrambled egg to stick to the stuff in my frying pan?

to walk on it} but when i got to shore i found i had just scraped the paint.
no surprise really as the skin of my boat is a fine teflon screen used in
paper mills to strain the paper out of the pulp . a few coats of paint and
yer in business
