I put the copyright notices into the posting after someone on the paddlewise
mailing list got quoted out of context in a newpaper or magazine
article.
My intent with instituting the copyright notice was to prevent a similar
instance from occuring with anything posted here.
I fully agree the copyright stuff is annoying. I periodically forward items
from paddlewise and get permission from the original authors for forwarding
each item. Which does reduce my forwarding of stuff, from forwarding stuff
"you might find interesting" to the just forwarding the really good stuff.
