For the 2 of you who have been wondering how my multi-boat, multi-year
projects have been going, my sewing helper finished sewing the front deck
of my Aleut boat today, after a many month layoff! I'm a rear deck and a
cockpit coaming away from being ready to poly the nylon. Stay tuned for
more reports on this boats progress in the years ahead. :-)

WE've been misting the nylon with a lawn sprayer, and sewing it nice and
snug (but not overly so), and when it dries, it dries nice and tight. Seems
perfect so far, and I dont think much if any heat-shrinking will be
necessary. My half-kayak is looking very sharp indeed.

As for my other boat, well, it looks like it will be next year(s) project
now, so just dont ask. :-) So, more important things came up (I hear
disappointed mutters of "what could be more important than building kayaks")
