Haven't started to build a boat yet, but soon.
There are new fabrics on the market for outdoor equipment. If one checks
the internet, there is a company that sells outdoor fabrics, kits and
patterns. Can't think of the name of it now, but if you look
in BackPacker Magazine you should find it.
Has anyone considered using the new "Micro-Fiber" Type products that are
polyester, but have the texture of canvas or the Polyester fabrics that are
now being used as tent rain fly. I don't know if they come heavy enough,
but I would think so.
There are a number of products available for aircraft applications that are
polyester and/or nylon that should work.
