My Baidarka construction custom kayak Feather type I built last year in a
Master Class with Skip Snaith of Kayak Way has 3 joints of 2 different
types. They do provide some movement. I have noticed no wear. These are
very nicely described in his plan set. I suggest you visit his site and
learn from it. His plans may be just what you need.

My kayak is great. It is light and quick. It was built to be used. It has
been in the Pacific, Atlantic and the Chesapeake Bay. Also building it was
a fantastic experience and the "vacation" of my adult lifetime. Skip is
super.
