I mean the program is capable of accuracy in the micron region. Heck if
after all is said and done I end up with a quarter inch accuracy or better
over the length of the boat I'll be perfectly satisfied.

Oh I see, you took a flat object and by the time you put a curve in it, it's
total length had shortened up a bit. One of the features of this software
is you can choose to scale in 1, 2 or 3 dimensions. So for instance if you
wanted to give a curve a little more of a bend, you could tell the program
to only scale in one direction and leave the other dimension alone.

The computer starts to win the race however when you're playing around with
different ideas and making changes over and over to see how it works.

I hear ya. Unfortunately for me, I will be taking up most of my little shop
when I finally start building. The less time I spend building the sooner I
can walk in my shop again.....:)
