You'll have to hurry to find open water anywhere but Lake Superior. The pond
outside my place of work in the Twin Cities is freshly frozen over this
morning, and I suspect this time it will last till spring. Fifty-three days
in a row of above normal temperatures and counting -- but it may end
Christmas Eve.
