I wonder what kind of wood the Klepper is. Sitka spruce, maybe? Notorious
for being affected by fresh water; yet saltwater seems to harden the wood
and preserve it. If my hulls get any appreciable amount of fresh water in
them, I try to take them to the beach and swamp them in saltwater before I
hang them up to dry.
The linseed oil seems to work really well on all my boats.
