Ookh, green chemical gloves is the only way to go!! (in conjunction with
liberated US Army wool-synthetic-mix glove liners, keep your hands warm even
when sopping wet) When conditions are not too severe, surgical latex gloves
work pretty well for me since I find that the most cooling comes from
evaporation of moisture and once I have regained circulation in my hands
(after the first freeze after I get into the boat) my hands tend to stay warm
unless wet.
