Hi All-

Due to laziness & lack of concentration, I ripped a 4"
gash in the canvas of my Greenland boat.

What is the best way to repair this? I plan on sewing
up the gash, then using some sort of sealant/glue to
fill the gaps. Should I plan on using some canvas as
an external patch?

What adhesive is best? Would quick-set epoxy work? I
painted the skin with linseed oil/porch paint, so
adhesion might be a problem. I don't have the luxury
of heated storage, so curing could be a problem also.

Thanks in advance for any help!
